Alianto, a design house, was born in 1995 in Barcelona by the Basque brothers Iñaki and Aitor Muñoz and has since gone from strength to strength with their collections being shown at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Madrid from 2001, winning National Designer of the Year awards from Glamour and Marie Claire magazine and opening their first boutique here in Barcelona in 2010. The Ailanto world is famous for geometric shapes, striking colour combinations, exclusive prints and elegant juxtapositions of texture. The Barcelona boutique is just one of two in Spain (the Madrid boutique opened in 2012) and currently displays their Spring/Summer 14 collection which takes its inspiration from the country of the moment: Brazil. The colour palette and floral detail are influenced by the country’s rich flora and fauna and the look is fluid and relaxed. Ailanto have achieved what so many don’t; high fashion which is also highly wearable. A must visit for any fashion lover.
